3D Printing Challenge: Marathon 3D Print Projects

3D printing often involves a long wait, frequently requiring printing times measured in hours or even days. What’s the longest record everyone has for printing? If you want to break the record, or if you want to challenge the limits of the printer, you can try the projects introduced below.

T-Rex Skeleton

This Tyrannosaurus skeleton can be considered a classic model, available for download since 2016. The model is created based on real dinosaur research data, with each bone having a factual basis. The complete model consists of 79 components, and upon completion, you will have a dinosaur skeleton display that is approximately 60cm in length.

Mechanical Wall Clock

This mechanical clock design is very special. We don’t know how accurate it is, but having one at home will definitely make it a focal point. Another feature is that the model has many parts, so everyone can print in different colors to create their own favorite color combinations. The model has a total of 118 files, and the designer has provided detailed assembly and adjustment instructions, so there’s no need to worry.

Detailed AT-AT from Star Wars Scale 1:75

Even if you’re not a Star Wars fan, you should have seen this classic AT-AT walker model. This 1:75 scale, 30cm tall AT-AT 3D model is not only highly detailed but also includes internal structures, making it a must-have for Star Wars fans. The complete model has about 70 parts, and the designer says it requires approximately 3,900 minutes to print…

World War II Weapons

The above are all about some complex 3D printing projects and close off, we would like to introduce the work of a designer. This friend, TigerAce1945, has a great interest in the history of World War II and has created a large number of military models, including tanks, armored vehicles, cannons, troop carriers, and more, from both the Allies and the Axis powers. If you are a WWII military enthusiast, then you really have a lot to print!
