Bambu 3D printers has been rising meteorically in the last two years since their launch. Right now is a perfect opportunity for you guys to purchase your very first printer or upgrade your existing one. In this article we will introduce each Bambu printer and hopefully help you guys identifying the most suitable printer to buy.

Why Bambu?

Exceptional printing speed, quality and consistency

Bambu printers' printing speed is approximately 3 times as the traditional 3D printers out there, the quality and consistency of the prints are also very high. This can save massive amount of time comparing to other printers.

Automatic Material System (AMS)

AMS is one of Bambu's revolutionary design. It's purpose is mainly multi-colour printing, but other than that, AMS can load and unload materials automatically, notify user when there is not enough filaments for the print, or set to change filament automatically when one is used up. Inside AMS there's also a drying feature, which helps to control the humidity and maintaining the condition of the filaments. For veterans AMS can definitely save a lot of tedious effort on using a 3D printer, while can also be a massive help to new users to avoid making mistakes that might damage the printer. If budget allows AMS is pretty much a must buy for 3D printer users.

Quality of life

Other than AMS, All Bambu Printers have auto-calibration and Bambu Studio cloud control. Traditionally Calibration has haunted a lot of 3D printer users but finally this process is fully-automated by Bambu. The makes our lives so much easier.

Bambu Studio Mobile version notification when a print is done

Every Bambu Filament has an RFID chip that allows the printer to detect what materials are currently loaded. The Bambu Studio will automatically switch to the corresponding material profile.

Bambu Lab A1 Mini

If you are new to 3D printing, A1 Mini is definitely the best choice. It is small and compact, and you can enjoy all sorts of Bambu exclusive features at a very low price. A1 Mini also supports AMS. Camera, Bambu Studio Cloud Control, auto-calibration, these are all possible with a very low price.

Bambu Lab A1

If you think Bambu A1 is too small but you don't have space to buy an enclosed printer like the ones below, A1 is a perfect model to have. It has all the features that A1 mini has,

while having a larger print volume up to 256 x 256 x 256mm.

Bambu Lab P1S

P1S is a pretty Casual enclosed machine. It is not expensive while having all Bambu Printer features, it has extremely high cost-performance. Enclosed design makes it suitable for printing certain temperature sensitive materials such as ABS or ASA. It can also help keeping kids or pets away to avoid danger.

Bambu Lab X1 Carbon

X1 Carbon is the most popular model of Bambu. It is way more professional than P1S. X1 Carbon uses hardened steel nozzle instead of the stainless steel nozzle from P1S, which allows it to print exotic materials such as carbon fibre or glass fibre. The housing also upgraded from P1S's plastic case to Aluminium case, and the screen upgraded to full colour touch monitor, the camera quality also significantly improved, and added an AI quality detection to optimise the print quality. If you are looking for a all-rounded professional 3D printer, X1 Carbon would be your best choice.

Bambu Lab X1E

X1E is the most professional 3D printer Bambu has released, it is more suitable for organisations or companies to use, it supports WPA-2 Enterprise and Ethernet, which enables all the Bambu functions locally instead of relying on the Bambu Cloud for all the communication. X1E, also added an air filtration system, which can heavily reduce odors and particles while printing certain exotic materials such as ABS or ASA. X1E also has a active heating chamber for regulating temperature for printing exotic materials, this can significantly increase the success rate and reduce the chance of warping. With the above features and a higher nozzle temperature limit(up to 320 C) on X1E, this allows X1E being the most ideal machine to print exotic materials, especially for higher performance materials such as PPA-CF/GF, PPS and PPS-CF, which the previous model were not capable of printing.
